Job description
- Location:
- München, Germany
- Work arrangement:
- On-site
Role Summary
SKALAR – We are building the digital tax office of the future
Radically simple. Fully digital. 100% client-focused.
We are completely rethinking tax advice: simpler, faster and more transparent for clients and the law firm team at the same time.
Where other law firms struggle with manual processes, long waiting times and non-transparent communication, we are building a completely new experience - digital, proactive, AI-supported. With automated processes in the background and digital interfaces to the client, repetitive tasks largely run themselves - so you have time for what really counts: demanding accounting, special cases and close support for your clients.
The difference to other “digital law firms”: Over half of our team are software developers. You directly shape what they build - and thus what AI-supported accounting will actually look like in this industry. Your specialist knowledge shapes the product, not just its application.
We are an experienced founding team of tax consultants, digital entrepreneurs and software developers with an exit track record of €140 million. Together with you, we would like to build one of the leading law firms in Germany.
Ready to redefine accounting?
Become part of skalar — and work with us to create the most modern client experience in Germany.
Responsibilities
- Independent management of your accounting mandates - on a DATEV basis, with AI tools and digital interfaces that take routine tasks off your hands
- First point of contact for your clients – from ongoing exchanges to clarifying open items to monthly evaluations
- Prepare annual financial statements and tax returns - you prepare them yourself, and you take care of the final coordination together with a professional
- Further develop processes with our software developers – you describe the problem and together you build the solution
- Onboard new clients - you accompany the start and ensure that data and interfaces run cleanly from the start
Requirements
- Completed training as a tax clerk with at least 2 years of professional experience in ongoing financial accounting
- Solid accounting expertise, experienced use of DATEV and experience in independent client support, enjoy working with clients and building sustainable relationships
- You recognize where there are problems with processes, you don't want to accept them but rather abolish them and you are open to testing and further developing innovative solutions
- Entrepreneurial thinking and interest in helping to build one of Germany's leading law firms
Benefits
🧠 You help build what accounting and consulting will be tomorrow - AI-supported processes and formats that don't exist yet. You help decide what modern law firm work will look like in the future
- 📈 Clear development prospects - We support you professionally and financially on your way to becoming a tax specialist or accountant
- 🤝 Steep learning curve with founders and tech team - direct collaboration in everyday life, mutual sparring at eye level
- 🚀 Full responsibility from day 1 - own mandates and freedom to design processes and service portfolio
- 🛠️ Modern tech setup - digital processes, AI-supported tools, clear structures
- 💰 Competitive salary package
- 🏠 Flexible working - freely combine home office and office, if desired also predominantly remotely
- 📍 Office in the heart of Munich, well connected
- 🎁 €3,000 p.a. benefit program + company cell phone
