Role Summary

At Motel One Group, taxes are not about routine, but about quality, care and tax assessment with substance. In our tax department at the Munich headquarters, we are responsible for the tax support of the national group companies - from ongoing declarations and tax reporting to tax audits, special topics and close integration, among other things. with accounting, accounting and legal.

We are looking for a motivated personality with a solid professional foundation and a desire to develop from a tax speaker into the role of (junior) tax manager. You work closely with the head of the tax department, who guides you both professionally and disciplinarily and builds you up in a targeted manner.

Responsibilities

• Support in the tax support of national group companies of the Motel One Group
• Participation in the preparation and examination of tax returns of national group companies
• Participation in the calculation of tax provisions and tax reporting
• Support with tax audits and communication with tax authorities and external consultants
• Participation in tax projects, restructuring and special issues
• Support in the further development and digitalization of tax and accounting processes
• Participation in tax issues in the areas of income taxes and sales tax
• Analysis and interpretation of annual financial statements and derivation of the resulting tax issues
• Support in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to HGB
• Close collaboration with internal departments such as accounting, accounting, controlling, financial applications, development and legal

Requirements

This is what you bring with you

• Successfully completed studies with a focus on taxes, accounting, auditing, finance or comparable training in tax consulting
• First to several years of relevant professional experience in tax consulting, auditing, ideally in accounting or in a corporate tax environment
• Knowledge of accounting and/or tax law
• Interest in tax and accounting relationships in the corporate environment
• Analytical and structured way of working as well as a high affinity for numbers
• Good MS Office skills, especially Excel
• Ideally, first experience with SAP and/or DATEV
• High willingness to learn, initiative and hands-on mentality
• Ability to work in a team and enjoy cross-departmental collaboration
• Very good knowledge of German and good knowledge of English
