Born in 2022 in Senegal, Tanel is the first digital health insurance in French-speaking West Africa. It operates in Senegal and Ivory Coast. We are transforming a market dominated by paper-based processes and fragmented legacy players. With more than 30,000 members, a network of more than 1,200 health establishments and more than 400 pharmacies, as well as a turnover multiplied by 7 in 2025, we have demonstrated a true match between our product and the needs of the market, in countries that needed a revolution.

In 2026, Alan, the European leader in health insurance focused on prevention, with more than €950 million in turnover and +1 million members in France, Belgium, Spain and Canada, acquired Tanel in order to accelerate its expansion on the African continent. Together, we are building the benchmark health insurance in French-speaking West Africa, with the ambition of reaching $200 million in turnover by 2030.

⭐️ FINANCE AT ALAN ⭐️

Finance at Alan is the team that builds the financial foundation to manage growing digital health insurance, in markets where almost everything remains to be built.

The heart of our responsibilities: produce reliable financial information for each of our entities, keep accounts always ready for closing, and give the company the figures on which it can rely to make decisions. On a daily basis, this means keeping the accounts, entering a large volume of transactions without ever compromising on quality, managing closings and pushing automation to go ever faster.

⭐️ THE ROLE OF ACCOUNTANT ⭐️

We are looking for a rigorous and fast accountant to keep the daily accounts of our entities in West Africa. This is a high-volume position: numerous operations to enter, reconcile and classify every day, with constant quality requirements.

You will work under the responsibility of the financial manager and in liaison with external firms. In detail, your missions will include:

• Maintain daily accounting: enter purchases, sales, receipts and disbursements, manage a high volume of operations in the accounting tool (Sage, Odoo) while respecting the SYSCOHADA accounting plan.
• Reconcile and control: carry out bank and cash flow reconciliations, reconcile third-party accounts and monitor accounts to be regularized so that the books remain clean.
• Prepare closings: participate in monthly closings on time and prepare the documents and supporting documents requested by the financial manager and external firms.
• Follow current obligations: contribute to the preparation of declarations (VAT in particular) and the monitoring of payments, in conjunction with the accounting firm.
• Automate and improve: identify repetitive tasks and suggest ways to simplify them — imports, models, automations — to capture data faster and make data more reliable. This is a real plus for us.

You will be part of a small finance team where your regularity and attention to detail count enormously.

⭐️ YOU MAY BE THE RIGHT PERSON IF… ⭐️

• You have at least 3 years of experience in accounting, ideally in a position with a high data entry volume.
• You master the SYSCOHADA / OHADA accounting plan and common entries, as well as accounting software (Sage, Odoo or equivalent).
• You are fast, rigorous and reliable: you produce volume without allowing errors.
• You are comfortable with spreadsheets (Excel / Google Sheets) and curious about time-saving tools.
• You are autonomous, organized and respectful of deadlines.
• You are comfortable in French; some knowledge of English is a plus.

Requirements

It's even better if you have

• Experience in health insurance, mutual insurance (IPM/mutual) or an accounting firm.
• A marked appetite for automation: macros, scripts, imports, or any means of reducing manual entry.
• Experience in local taxation (VAT) in Senegal or Ivory Coast.
