Role Summary
Act as a fully qualified Lead Auditor, with consolidated practical experience in the FSSC 22000 scheme.
Prepare and execute audit plan, including sampling, process trails and traceability (mass balance when applicable).
Assess compliance with ISO 22000, applicable PRPs and FSSC Additional Requirements (e.g.: food defense, food fraud, allergens, service management, environmental monitoring when applicable, food safety culture).
Collect and record evidence, write non-conformities and observations objectively and in accordance with the rules of the scheme.
Prepare and review reports, certification recommendations and records in the OC system within deadlines.
Evaluate customer corrective actions (correction/cause/effectiveness) and support internal technical decisions when requested.
Comply with impartiality, independence and confidentiality requirements; follow OC procedures and ISO/IEC 17021-1 and ISO 22003-1 requirements.
Maintain up-to-date qualifications (FSSC scheme changes, regulatory documents and accreditation requirements).
Requirements
- Higher education in a related area (Food, Chemistry, Biology, Veterinary, Agronomy, Pharmacy, Engineering or similar) or proven equivalent experience.
- Solid experience in food safety (FSMS/HACCP/quality/production) in organizations belonging to categories C0, CI, CII, CIII, CIV and I.
- Qualification as Lead Auditor FSSC 22000.
- Knowledge and practical application of: ISO 22000 (risk approach, OPRP/PCC, validation/verification, change management, communication), PRPs of the audited sector (e.g.: ISO/TS 22002-1 for food manufacturing, when applicable), FSSC Additional Requirements (current version).
- Proven ability to conduct audits with independence, good judgment, professional attitude and technical report writing.
- Availability for frequent travel (regional/national) and in-person audits.
- IT (Office/Google package) and use of management/audit systems.
Desirable requirements (differentials)
- Previous experience as a 3rd party auditor (certification) in schemes recognized by the GFSI.
- Training: food defense, food fraud, allergens, traceability/recall, supplier audit.
- Experience in complex/multisite audits.
