Teamleitung OSS Software Engineering (w/m/d)

Role Summary

Leadership and further development of the software team: Through your coaching and technical support, you enable lead developers and application owners to exploit their potential and realize successful solutions together.

Technical orientation and further development of the OSS application landscape: With your technological understanding, you will shape the strategic further development of OSS applications and platforms and ensure their sustainable future viability.

Ensuring software engineering standards: You ensure the consistent application of best practices and create the basis for high quality, maintainability and technical excellence.

Further development of CI/CD and DevOps processes: Through your continuous optimization of automation, testing procedures, code quality and observability, you increase efficiency, transparency and reliability in software development.

Ensuring stable and scalable OSS solutions: Working closely with adjacent teams, you will ensure that powerful, secure and future-proof solutions meet the needs of the company.

Participation in complex implementations and problem solving: With your hands-on mentality, you bring your technical expertise directly into demanding projects and critical challenges.

Requirements

Completed degree in IT or comparable qualification

• Extensive experience in software development and technical leadership of development teams
• Experience in the OSS environment of telecommunications or fiber optic companies as well as in-depth knowledge of FTTH and fiber optic technologies, especially GPON and XGS-PON
• Experience working with ServiceNow in an OSS context and/or GIS platforms such as IQGeo
• In-depth know-how in CI/CD, DevOps, cloud-native architectures and software quality
• Understanding of modern software engineering principles and continuous improvement
• Willingness to delegate responsibility and create a trusting feedback culture
• Strategist and team player who tackles tasks efficiently, is empathetic and addresses things
