Role Summary

As a platform engineer, you will work on R+V's AI platform in a combination of engineering methods and cloud architectures with current data and analytics technologies.

In a Scrum team, you will further develop and operate our AI solution in the holistic sense of DevOps (you build it, you run it), from specification to design and implementation, taking scalability and stability into account.

You work intensively with CI/CD (GitLab), including builds, tests, security scans, deployments and monitoring.

You define and implement proof of concepts and prototypes.

The conception and implementation of individual solutions are also part of your task.

Continuous development and scouting of technologies, methods and tools as well as active knowledge transfer are a matter of course for you.

You use the advantages of close collaboration with data scientists, data engineers and specialist departments to successfully find solutions.

You use systems such as Docker to operate and troubleshoot containers and have experience in the network-side connection of cloud environments to company networks.

You would like to face these challenges, break new ground together with the team, advance topics for R+V and develop yourself personally.

Requirements

  • Successful studies in natural sciences, computer science or a comparable qualification.
  • Interested in familiarizing yourself with modern data and cloud technologies, especially in the areas of Azure Machine Learning, Public Cloud, Data Factory/Synapse Pipeline and Data Ingestion (ETL/ELT).
  • Experience building and debugging Docker images as well as using Terraform and Python.
  • Knowledge of Azure infrastructures and services, e.g. VNets, Service and Private Endpoints, Identity Management, RBAC/ACL and Azure Storage (especially Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2) is an advantage.
  • Experience in the network connection of cloud environments to corporate networks
  • Practical experience in using coding agents (e.g. Claude Code or Codex) as well as a good understanding of modern AI-assisted coding and vibe engineering.
  • You have strong communication skills, the ability to work in a team and enjoy working with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Fluent knowledge of German (at least level B2-C1).

Benefits

  • Culinary: Healthy & balanced meals in our company restaurant.
