Senior Python Developer

Role Summary

As a technological partner, Sopra Steria works on various solutions. This means that you and your team work on various assignments. An assignment can include the following:

A PoC that uses one or more AI models may be brought to an MVP with FastAPI and Python;

Building an image recognition application;

Working in a Behavior and/or Test-driven development (BDD, TDD) Agile environment.

Implementing data models that predict, for example, the number of public transport passengers or the amount of wind or solar energy that needs to be stored.

AI Research for improving NLP models and implementing these models in applications that help search documents.

Building an application that helps specialists collect and analyze data for security risks (Flask) or checks the authenticity of documents (Django).

• There are still doubts about the use of OpenShift;
• The CI/CD is a Jenkins pipeline and it must be converted to Azure pipelines;
• Participate in defining steps to run the application in a Kubernetes cluster (e.g. with Helm, Dockerfile, Podman);
• A new framework is selected, such as (for example) FastAPI ;
• Making the existing unit and integration tests meaningful;

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience;
• Experience with at least 2 frameworks such as Django, Flask or FastAPI;
• Have experience with test methods (unit, integration, acceptance tests) and can apply them;
• Have substantive knowledge and can apply cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure or, for example, OpenShift;
• Have experience working in an agile scrum environment;
• Have experience working in accordance with DevOps principles;
• Can contribute in the field of software architecture and technical design;
• Enjoy working in a team;
• You have experience in sharing knowledge and guidance from colleagues;
• You bring a positive mindset and solution-oriented attitude;
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant equivalent education;
• In possession of a Dutch passport and living in the Netherlands;
• At least Dutch at B-2 level or it is your mother tongue;
