Role Summary
An example assignment could include the following
- An outdated Java application with Java version 8 must be updated to the latest LTS version;
- The entire DTAP runs on one or more RHEL servers in the basement of the customer's main building and must be brought to Azure (AKS);
- There are still doubts about the use of OpenShift;
- The CI/CD is a Jenkins pipeline and it must be converted to Azure pipelines;
- Thinking about defining steps to run the application in a Kubernetes cluster (e.g. with Helm, Dockerfile, Podman, Maven dependencies);
- A new framework is selected such as Spring or Quarkus;
- Make the existing unit and integration tests meaningful;

Requirements
A Java developer who is a master in Java but is on his way to becoming a grandmaster of the techniques of the Java ecosystem. You regularly spar with seniors and come up with new ideas and you also look forward to new innovations in the field of IT software development. Broadening your knowledge is a desire for which you are eager to seize opportunities to make it powerful and then share it with your colleagues.

As a medior developer we expect you to
- Have at least 3-5 years of work experience;
- Experience with frameworks such as Spring or Quarkus;
- Experience with test methods (unit, integration, acceptance tests) and can apply them;
- Substantive knowledge and ability to apply cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure with, for example, OpenShift;
- Experience working in an agile scrum environment;
- Experience working in accordance with DevOps principles;
- Contributions in the field of software architecture and technical design;
- Enjoy working in a team;
- You bring a positive mindset and solution-oriented attitude;
- Able to transfer knowledge and experience with pleasure;
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant equivalent education;
- At least Dutch at B-1/B-2 level
