Role Summary
Independent implementation of technical tasks in the area of transmission technology with a focus on engineering: This is how you ensure the construction and operation of powerful, stable and future-proof network infrastructures.
Planning and implementation of system and acceptance tests including documentation: This creates a reliable basis for the structured commissioning, evaluation and release of new technologies.
Responsibility for the life cycle management of hardware and software components: This is how you ensure sustainable further development, high availability and long-term stability of the network architecture.
Creation of high-level and low-level designs as well as definition of technical standards and deployment guidelines: This is how you ensure uniform quality levels, clear specifications and efficient implementation in network design.
Participate in the integration of the domain controller into the umbrella system: This is how you contribute to central control, automation and increasing network security.
Technical support for 1st and 2nd level support as well as advice for internal and external stakeholders: This enables you to quickly solve technical challenges and coordinate the implementation of requirements.
Participation in the development of innovative network solutions in the areas of DWDM, Carrier Ethernet and CWDM: In this way, you support the continuous technological development and competitiveness of the company portfolio.
Requirements
- Completed studies in electrical engineering, communications engineering, (business) information technology or comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience with transmission technologies such as WDM, SDH, Ethernet, RON or hardened optics
- Experience with IP technologies including IPv6 to expand the range of technical applications
- Specialization in the planning and operation of DWDM networks (1G–800G) as well as knowledge in dealing with associated management systems
- Strong sense of responsibility, high willingness to support and strong personal responsibility
- Good knowledge of spoken and written German and English
- Willingness to carry out night changes as part of service effects and migration work as well as willingness to travel within Germany
