Responsibilities

  • You will be leading the facilitation of the risk management process; identification, assessment, and proactive management of risks (both threats and opportunities.
  • Ensure risk data is kept up to date and using industry best practice according to ISO31000:2018 standards.
  • Engage the project team in the risk management requirements proactively and establish a risk management culture.
  • Develop Risk Management Plan, maintain risk registers, prepare risk reports & analyzes to support management in decision-making.
  • Automate and increase efficiency in elements of the implemented risk management processes, tools, and templates.
  • Lead risk workshops with the project teams, including partners and clients.
  • Integrate Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) for Cost and Schedule in the project, help management interpret results and make decisions using QRAs.
  • Ensure consistency of approach and knowledge sharing across projects.
  • You will lead and moderate the risk management process, including the identification, assessment and proactive management of risks (threats and opportunities).
  • You will ensure that risk data is always kept up to date and in line with industry best practices in accordance with ISO 31000:2018.
  • You will develop risk management plans, maintain risk registers and prepare risk reports and analyzes to support management decisions.
  • You automate and increase the efficiency of existing risk management processes, tools and templates.
  • You lead risk workshops with project teams, partners and customers.
  • You integrate quantitative risk analyzes (QRA) for costs and scheduling into the project, support management in interpreting the results and making informed decision-making processes.
  • You ensure the consistency of the approach and the transfer of knowledge across different projects.

Requirements

  • Previous experience with large & complex engineering focused projects (major infrastructure, rail, highways, oil & gas, nuclear).
  • Previous experience in consultancy environments.
  • Quantitative Cost and Schedule Risk Analysis (QCSRA).
  • Expert with industry tools such as @risk, Safran, ARM, Xactium.
  • Broad and diverse background i.e., Project Management, Statistics, Economics, Business Management, Engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical), or Data analytics.
  • Ability and interest to deep dive into complex analytical issues.
  • Competencies equivalent to PMI-RMP (Risk Management Professional).
  • Mastery of MS Office tools (e.g., Excel) to support these analytics is required.
  • Willingness and ability to travel (nationally/internationally - around 30%)
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English, German is an advantage.
  • Experience in large and complex, technically demanding projects (e.g. infrastructure, rail transport, road construction, oil & gas or nuclear energy); Experience in consulting companies or consulting-related environments is welcome.
  • Sound knowledge of quantitative cost and schedule risk analysis (QCSRA).
  • Knowledge of industry-standard tools such as @Risk, Safran, ARM or Xactium.
  • Specialist knowledge e.g. b.

in project management, statistics, economics, business administration, engineering (civil, mechanical or electrical engineering) or data analysis.

  • Ability and interest to deal intensively with complex analytical questions.
  • Qualifications at the PMI-RMP (Risk Management Professional) level or comparable plus.
  • Confident use of MS Office applications, especially Excel, to support analytical tasks.
  • Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally (approx. 30%).
  • Fluent written and oral communication skills in English; Knowledge of German is an advantage.
