Job description

Product Owner Traffic Technology (m/f/d) at SWARCO AG in Berlin, BE, Germany.

Leading refinement sessions and sprint planning together with the development team
Responsible for defining and developing requirements, epics and user stories with a strong understanding of the product
Coordination and collaboration with stakeholders from different areas (e.g. sales, product management and partners)
Evaluate, structure and prioritize incoming requirements taking into account business requirements and product vision
Establishing and continually adjusting team priorities in line with strategic company goals
Confidently handle changes during ongoing sprints while ensuring stable implementation
Responsible for release planning and transparent communication of schedules and milestones
Regular, clear and structured reporting to senior management and relevant stakeholders
Transparent presentation of successes, risks and conflicting goals to support well-founded decisions
Work closely with Quality Assurance (QA) to define test scenarios and ensure customer approval
Ensuring high-quality, consistent and understandable product documentation
Active integration of user feedback into product decisions and the further development of the product roadmap
Joint leadership of the team together with the team lead in a close and cooperative collaboration

At least five years of professional experience as a product owner, product manager or in a comparable position
Knowledge of traffic engineering or a strong interest in mobility, traffic systems, smart cities or comparable subject areas
Completed bachelor's degree in a technical field or a comparable qualification
Sound understanding of agile methods as well as practical experience in managing product backlogs and sprints
Strong product understanding with the willingness to take on responsibility beyond the classic tasks of a product owner and to think across departments
Experience in complex software environments, ideally with cloud-based systems
Solid technical understanding and high technical affinity (in-depth development knowledge is not required)
Strong communication skills and stakeholder management skills across different hierarchy levels and regions
Ability to translate complex regional requirements into clear and actionable product features
Assertiveness and strong argumentation and decision-making skills when prioritizing requirements
Consistent customer and user orientation in all product decisions
Ability to work in a team as well as a cooperative and proactive way of working
Experience working with Jira and Confluence
Fluent spoken and written English skills; Knowledge of German is an advantage, other language skills are welcome
