Product Owner (m/w/d) System Administration DB2 z/OS

Role Summary

As a product owner, you are responsible for the technical solutions for the databases of our mainframe platform of the Agile Release Train (ART) “Platforms and Infrastructure” together with the product manager.

Together with the architects, the product manager and the other product owners of the ART, you will master the balancing act between innovation and modernization and manage to assume operational responsibility with a high degree of initiative. Your goal is to ensure secure, economical and stable operation of the basic components of the mainframe platform today and in the future.

From our IT strategy, you derive a vision for the solutions responsible, develop a roadmap and convey an understanding of the defined target image within ART and our IT customers. This also included the effective deployment and management of employees together with the people lead.

You are responsible for the stable and economical operation of the central z/OS database systems including the associated additional products.

Your tasks also include the active installation, configuration and maintenance of necessary additional database products and the trouble-free operation of database procedures such as backup, reorganization, recovery, etc.

In coordination with the DevSecOps developers, you carry out object changes in the test, acceptance and production environments.

Requirements

• You have a degree in computer science/business informatics or a similar field or have comparable professional experience.
• Your high level of technical expertise in the DB2 z/OS environment sets you apart.
• You have experience in controlling tasks - ideally as a product owner.
• At best, you were able to gain experience in agile working in previous jobs.
• When communicating with colleagues, you demonstrate good communication skills and convey a positive spirit.
• You have the ability to inspire and can convey target images in an understandable way. Personal responsibility and initiative are no foreign words to you.
• You have very good knowledge of spoken and written German (at least B2).
