Product manager / chief underwriter – focus on architects, engineers, construction in the industrial customers business area

Role Summary

The focus of your work is on the development and adjustment of insurance conditions, framework agreements and broker products in the area of architects' and engineers' liability as well as in the entire construction segment.

You observe market, competition and trend developments in order to identify innovation and further development potential.

You will also carry out inventory and risk analyses, analyze portfolio performance and derive optimization measures.

Additionally, you will act as Chief Underwriter by assessing and underwriting complex architectural and engineering liability risks.

You work closely with underwriting, claims, sales and other interfaces - in the case of the Baukombi product, especially with your colleagues from technical insurance.

In addition, you will actively work in projects, working groups and other interdisciplinary subject areas and will be responsible for working on more in-depth technical issues.

Requirements

• You impress with your strong communication and teamwork skills as well as your independent and goal-oriented way of working.
• You are also characterized by your high motivation to perform, willingness to take responsibility and initiative.
• You also have very good analytical and conceptual skills with a very high quality awareness and a high level of reliability.
• You have successfully completed a degree in insurance or a comparable course of study and/or completed training to become an insurance and finance clerk.
• Additionally, you have experience in product management and/or underwriting - ideally with regard to architect and engineer liability, technical insurance or construction risks.
