Role Summary

The public lighting in and around Sittard works and the traffic control systems ensure a safe and smooth traffic flow. That's all because of you. As an independent electrician, you are the one who arranges the maintenance for these systems. Sometimes you manage a colleague. You are also on location for installation and troubleshooting work. You visualize the connections you have made and administer what you do. In your work you are concerned with:

• technically prepare and organize the workplace;
• installing and maintaining lighting or traffic objects;
• securing and repairing lighting, traffic objects and cable damage;
• report deviations during implementation and identify additional or reduced work and discuss it with the supervisor;
• registering your work in a contractor report, production and materials list and logbook;

suggestions for improvement compared to doing the work.

Requirements

Technology makes your heart beat faster. You find maintenance, breakdowns and all power voltages between 0 and 400 volts extremely interesting. New electrical projects: they are tailor-made for you. With an eye for safety, you work with your colleagues on the most beautiful projects in the contract area. It is therefore logical that working together is in your blood, because you cannot make it alone. Moreover, you rely on your technical knowledge and you know how to put it into practice effortlessly. What else you need as an electrician for Public Lighting or Traffic Control Systems is:

• A completed MBO education (electrical engineering, low and/or medium voltage level 2/3) for example LTS, MTS, MSI, EMSI, MBI, EBI, low voltage distribution;
• A BEI VP LS nets certificate or willingness to obtain one;
• VCA basic and willing to obtain VCA-VOL;
• You have no problem working outside working hours, for example in a breakdown service or in the event of emergencies;
• No objection to evening or night work.
• In possession of a valid B driving license and C1 (No problem if you don't have this. We will help you get this as soon as possible).
