Your environment

You come into an environment in which finance is becoming a fixture: We support large S/4HANA transformations in medium-sized companies in various industries. So far we have covered the FI part through freelancers. We don't want that anymore. We build the expertise internally, and you are the person who carries it.

That means: a lot of creative freedom, but also real responsibility. Colleagues from our other areas sit at the table for the related topics in the project; you are the authority for finance. And because this only works with air, we plan the project load and billing hours consciously: no twenty projects in parallel, no 60-hour weeks.

Your tasks

You are responsible for the finance strand in large S/4HANA projects - from process start with accounting to go-live. A typical scenario: A hospital network brings together the general ledger, asset accounting and closing processes from several established ECC systems in one S/4HANA system, and you decide how the processes will run in the future. Also:

Technical responsibility for FI in the project: general ledger, accounts receivable and accounts payable, asset accounting and closing processes - you take CO topics such as cost center or profit and loss accounting with you if you bring them with you

Record and redesign our customers' financial processes together with accounting and controlling - including honest objection if the desired path is not the best

Accompany the entire project cycle: analysis, conception, customizing, migration from the existing system, testing, rollout and go-live support

Develop junior consultants professionally and turn your knowledge into something that lasts: standards, process models, internal knowledge base

Get involved in offers and customer discussions and help shape how the area develops in the next few years - up to and including your own area of responsibility

Your profile

For you, responsibility is not a risk, but rather the reason why the job is fun. Also:

At least five years of experience in SAP FI, including several S/4HANA projects in which you were technically responsible for your topic

Depth in FI customizing and a firm understanding of the accounting processes behind it: You speak to accounting just as confidently as you speak to IT

CO knowledge is a plus, but not a must - our focus is around 80% FI

Interested in training junior consultants and taking on professional responsibility beyond the individual project
