Asset Accountant / Anlagenbuchhalter (w/m/d)

Role Summary

Valuation and booking of additions and disposals of fixed assets: You ensure that all investment movements are correctly reflected and thus ensure transparency and traceability in financial reporting.

Determination and posting of depreciation: Through your precise calculation, you ensure that depreciation is reflected in the correct period and in accordance with the rules.

Contact person function for controlling and specialist departments: In close collaboration, you will clarify issues relating to fixed assets and create a reliable technical basis for decisions.

Carrying out period-based financial statements for fixed assets: With your structured approach, you ensure that financial statements are prepared on time and correctly.

Creation of the fixed asset statement: Based on your careful preparation, changes in fixed assets are documented transparently and in an audit-proof manner.

Carrying out internal capitalizations: Through your professional assessment, you ensure that matters requiring capitalization are recorded correctly.

Contact person function for auditors: With your in-depth specialist knowledge, you confidently accompany audits and contribute to smooth audit processes.

Requirements

• Completed training in the commercial sector with a sound basis in accounting or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in accounting, ideally with a focus on fixed assets
• Sound knowledge of the valuation, accounting and depreciation of fixed assets as well as a sound understanding of accounting relationships
• Knowledge of accounting according to IFRS, preferably in the environment of a group or an audit-intensive organization
• Experience in preparing accrual-based financial statements and preparing audit-relevant documents
• Confident use of SAP and common Office programs, especially Excel
• Structured way of working, care and accuracy as well as the ability to tackle tasks efficiently and ensure progress
• Very good knowledge of German
