Role Summary
You contribute to the fight against air pollution in our environment. It is important that strict standards are adhered to. You will be responsible for carrying out basic measurements of air quality at production companies throughout Flanders. In this position you always go out with a colleague, so you can fully identify with the motto 'with two people is always more fun than alone!'.
Responsibilities
A selection of your tasks
- As soon as you have 'double checked' that all necessary equipment is present in the car, you and your colleague leave for the customer. Where you go depends on the schedule that has been neatly drawn up for you by the planning team;
- Upon arrival, bring the measuring equipment upstairs and prepare everything to start the emission measurements. For example, your day may consist of gas analyses, measurements of dust and heavy metals, determinations of dioxins, etc.;
- Are you registering exceptionally high or low values? Then it is possible that your measuring device has been set incorrectly or that something else is going on. Thanks to your technical insight, you can see in no time where the problem is and get the situation resolved quickly;
- At the end of your day, you enter the measurement data into the computer, label the samples and take them to the nearest office in Melsele, Zelzate or Olen, so that your colleagues can start reporting and interpreting the obtained measurement results.
Requirements
You completed a Bachelor's degree in a technical field and/or have built up a technical background through experience. Our employees with Green Management training already feel like a fish in water. School leavers are certainly welcome, but experience with carrying out instrumental measurements or working in production conditions is a plus;
- You like to work outside and a little rain or wind doesn't stop you from doing a good job. Climbing stairs in the blazing sun with heavy measuring equipment is also not a problem;
- Fear of heights is not in your dictionary, so you take measurements up to a height of 80 meters without hesitation. Of course, nothing can happen to you and all these measurements are done in the safest conditions;
- You are flexible and have absolutely no 9-to-5 mentality. You realize that the working day only ends when the measurement is completely completed.
- You are a very committed, driven and stress-resistant person who finds a solution for every problem;
- Independence, responsibility, accuracy, work ethic and a sense of humor are your main assets. You also have a healthy dose of assertiveness;
- You have a valid driving license B. If you have a driving license C, that is a bonus.
Benefits
You will end up in an exciting and varied job with the opportunity for development. As a stable and international company, we guarantee the necessary job security and, in addition to a competitive salary and the classic fringe benefits (meal vouchers and insurance), we also offer you the option to participate in our bicycle leasing plan. This is one of the ways to put our sustainability policy into practice.
