Dual study program in software development - applied mathematics and computer science (B.Sc.) with training to become a mathematical-technical software developer in 2027

Role Summary

Small learning groups at the FH Aachen (study location Cologne) create a personal study atmosphere in which individual support is the priority.

We provide you with an iPad for preparation and follow-up of the study content; with a NRW ticket you stay mobile.

In the practical phases, you will experience everyday project life in different teams and learn how to develop and integrate the software of the future for a large insurance group.

You will be supervised by experienced colleagues, can apply your programming knowledge (focus: Java, also Cobol) practically and thus ideally combine the theory of your studies with practice.

You will learn about all phases of software development, from analyzing customer requirements to designing, creating and modifying software components to testing and introducing the programs.

You can look forward to a monthly salary of 1,455 euros (1st year of training), 1,532 euros (2nd year of training) and 1,620 euros (3rd year of training).

Requirements

• Ideally, you already have initial IT knowledge and/or enthusiasm for IT topics.
• You are characterized by logical thinking skills and a high degree of initiative and willingness to learn.
• You are motivated and want to work in a team.
• You have a good general university entrance qualification with an advanced mathematics course.
