Role Summary
Identifying and actively implementing cost reduction potential throughout the entire value creation process, from the idea to series production
Support and accompany the specialist departments (including project management, engineering, purchasing, production) in the product development process for the cost-optimal design of purchased and production parts
- Conducting cost analyzes and estimates for customer projects in the automotive sector
- Preparation of target cost calculations
- Establishing and further developing the calculation standards
- Leading and supporting cost-down projects in collaboration with external supply sources
- Contribute to the further development of the organization with regard to cost awareness
Requirements
Completed technical or business studies with a technical background with appropriate further training in this area. Alternatively, successfully completed training as a technician - mechanical engineering with a focus on manufacturing technology or plastics/rubber technology
- Extensive professional experience in cost engineering and technical knowledge of manufacturing techniques and their costs
- Knowledge in the field of plastics technology is an advantage
- Experience in implementing cost reduction projects
- Fluent German and fluent English
- Excellent communication skills at all hierarchical levels
