Role Summary
You independently process and evaluate compliance cases and compliance issues and contribute your expertise to cross-departmental issues.
You coordinate the decentralized compliance function in the department, bring together relevant information and activities from the departments and ensure a coordinated approach across the departments.
As an interface to central group compliance, you translate group-wide specifications into the departmental context, introduce department-specific questions and ensure a reliable transfer of information and knowledge.
You carry out or coordinate the compliance risk analysis and inventory within the department, assess key compliance risks and ensure consistent processing and tracking across the areas involved.
You will further develop the compliance working methods in the department within the group-wide framework, identify cross-departmental improvement potential and synergies and use them to develop efficient processes and procedures.
You also actively contribute your expertise to other governance and regulatory topics and work closely with the other departmental management roles
Requirements
- You have a completed degree, ideally in business law, law, economics or a comparable field, as well as initial relevant professional experience in the area of compliance, governance or regulation.
- You have compliance knowledge and ideally experience in the subject of financial sanctions and can classify issues technically, identify risks and derive appropriate options for action from them.
- You quickly grasp complex relationships, work independently on new questions and can combine different professional perspectives.
- You enjoy coordinating topics across departmental boundaries, bringing different contacts together and establishing commitment even without formal authority to issue instructions.
- With your strong communication and consulting skills, you can support departments and contacts on an equal footing, communicate complex issues in an understandable manner and also address critical questions constructively.
- You are characterized by your own initiative, desire to create and a strong desire for further development. You would like to further deepen your compliance know-how and at the same time expand your professional spectrum into related governance and regulatory topics.
