CAS | SR Database Engineering - Focus on DBRE SQLServer and Opensource

Role Summary

As a DBRE at Sicredi you will be responsible for working in various database environments that use high-level technological high availability, scalability and resilience resources.

These environments are the core of our cooperative financial institution, and you will play a fundamental role in improving the quality of life of members and society. In addition, you will have highly specialized colleagues with great database know-how to exchange experiences and knowledge on a daily basis.

Our teams are also constantly evolving. You will work in an agile culture with a lot of Scrum, Kanban and DevOps!

Implement, migrate, update and improve performance in database environments

Ability to identify and propose automations to resolve operational bottlenecks.

• Manage highly critical environment
• Work together with development teams
• Monitor and create monitoring mechanisms to maintain environments
• Develop and implement infrastructure as code (automations, deployment, Continuous Delivery, etc.)
• Resolve incidents and look for the root cause of problems to create and execute action plans

Support Internal and External audits with explanations about database processes and evidence extraction.

Experience in implementing and administering SQL Server databases and at least one other database: MongoDB, PostgreSQL or MySQL.

Knowledge of at least one public cloud.

• Experience in a Linux environment is mandatory
• Experience with DevOps culture desirable (use of automation techniques for provisioning, configuration, versioning and monitoring database environments)
• Knowledge of a programming language (Python, Shell Script, Java, etc.)
