Role Summary

The buyer is responsible for the purchase of raw materials, supplies, tools and consumables to maintain the continuity of operations, ensuring quality, competitive cost and time compliance.

This function involves evaluating suppliers, negotiating commercial conditions, managing purchase orders and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products at the best prices, contributing to the development of new suppliers or the improvement of raw materials. Collaborates with internal teams to understand needs and ensure procurement aligns with organizational objectives and compliance with company policies.

Main Activities

Ensure the timely supply of raw materials, supplies, tools and consumables.

Search for the most competitive alternatives for raw materials and inputs that meet specifications and quality requirements.

Inventory control of plant supplies, this includes all raw materials for the different production lines.

Purchases from foreign and local suppliers of production inputs; The purchasing process includes request for quotes, price validation, placement of purchase orders, and shipment tracking.

Validation of the documents necessary for the correct receipt of materials.

Support in the preparation of reports such as MOH and materials in transit.

Participation in continuous improvement projects for inventory control of material availability based on sales projections

Issuance of monthly reports: inventories, backlog and backorder.

Requirements

  • Education: Industrial engineering, bachelor's degree in administration, global business or similar
  • Experience: +3 years in a similar position.
  • MS Office proficiency.
