Role Summary
introduction
Berlin / Remote · ⏱ approx. 10-15 hours/week · Start: now
Startup Insider is the leading media platform for the German startup ecosystem - with podcasts, newsletters and webinars about innovation, tech and entrepreneurship.
To support our webinar team, we are looking for a committed working student who is interested in helping to design digital formats, appearing confidently and getting hands-on in production.
your role
You will become part of the webinar team and accompany our formats end-to-end: from preparation to moderation to follow-up. You enjoy performing in front of an audience (de/en), keep calm in the live setting - and at the same time get involved in post-production.
your tasks
Moderation of webinars: welcome, intro, handovers, Q&A, timekeeping; you ensure everything runs smoothly.
Post-production: Rough editing & export of recordings (e.g. for on-demand, social snippets) with Zoom/QuickTime ; simple thumbs/overlays in Canva.
Follow-up & communication: Thank you emails, short recaps/highlights, support with reports (Airtable/Sheets).
Organization & technology: Checks of sound/camera/slides, speaker briefings, links & maintain schedules.
your profile
Enrolled student (media, communication, journalism, business administration/tech or similar).
Confident, personable appearance in front of an audience/camera – German & English.
Basic technical understanding and curiosity for tools (Zoom, Airtable, Canva; bonus: editing basics).
Careful, independent way of working, strong communication.
Bonus: first experience with webinars, video editing or on-air moderation.
why startup insider?
Insight into the heart of the startup scene & access to our network.
Responsibility from day 1 and space for your own ideas.
Flexible times & remote possible.
Small, motivated team, flat hierarchies.
Access to events, podcasts and webinars.
This is how our application process works
Send us your CV (and preferably a short moderation clip) with the subject “Working Student Webinars”.
We look forward to seeing you!
