Role Summary

Biology offers an innovative and diverse working environment. Cell biology, molecular and microbiology as well as toxicology are just some of the sub-areas of this natural science and present us with new and exciting tasks every day.

With our team of trainers and our scientific staff, you will learn the practical and theoretical aspects of the training profession - biology laboratory assistant (m/f/d).

Responsibilities

During your training with us you will learn

• Learning the basics of laboratory work in in-house internships in our training laboratory as well as further internships in various areas of biology
• Operating state-of-the-art laboratory equipment in our routine laboratories
• Testing of substances using a wide variety of analysis and testing methods, including immunological, biochemical and molecular biological test methods
• Dealing with microorganisms such as bacteria and animal cells (cultivation, care and identification)
• Test planning and execution, as well as the subsequent evaluation of test results

Exact recording and documentation of the results in German and English according to internationally recognized rules for quality assurance (GLP/GMP/DIN EN ISO 17025)

Requirements

• Completion of secondary school leaving certificate, technical college entrance qualification or general university entrance qualification
• Interest in scientific questions (biology, chemistry, physics) as well as practical laboratory work
• Interested in learning problem-solving strategies
• Responsible, reliable and precise way of working
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Basic English skills are an advantage as you work in an international team
• Willingness to carry out animal experiments in compliance with the Animal Welfare Act (*)
