Role Summary

For our sequencing team in Cologne we are now looking for a Technical Assistant (jun.) (m/f/d) Sequencing:

Working days

Monday to Friday (5 day week)

Rotating shift: two weeks early shift 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. / two weeks night shift 10:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m. (starting Sunday)

Responsibilities

Your tasks with us

  • Your area of responsibility includes carrying out analyzes (sample acceptance, sample processing, data production).
  • Together with the team, you are responsible for maintaining analysis systems for DNA sequencing.
  • The use of various sequencing methods is part of your everyday work at Eurofins.
  • You will enjoy operating pipetting robots and using our in-house laboratory information technology.
  • You support the creation of quality reports.
  • All activities are carried out in compliance with quality standards.

Requirements

  • You have already completed training as a biological-technical assistant (BTA, LTA, MTA, CTA) or have completed a degree in biology or comparable.
  • Initial laboratory experience is an advantage, but career changers are also welcome!
  • You also have sound German language skills, both spoken and written.
  • You have a quick comprehension, team spirit and an independent, quality-conscious and very precise way of working.
  • You are also characterized by your organizational skills and your structured way of working, and completing tasks on time is no problem for you.
  • A hands-on mentality and the pursuit of the highest quality and continuous improvement are required.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work nights and weekends round off your profile.
  • The position is filled for an unlimited period.
