Responsibilities
Your tasks and responsibilities include
Analysis of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and animal species differentiation in food, feed, raw materials and seeds, at the highest quality level. Ensuring careful and rapid processing of incoming samples as a member of the laboratory team with the support of LIMS. In particular:
- Sample preparation and sample weighing
- Isolation of DNA by various methods (manual and automated)
- Carrying out conventional and real-time PCR analyzes (qualitative and quantitative), including using modern liquid handling machines
- Work according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and support in the optimization of laboratory processes
- Carrying out general laboratory activities and taking on special additional tasks after the training period
Requirements
- You have successfully completed vocational training as a BTA, biology laboratory technician or comparable technical laboratory training (CTA, MTA etc.)
- Your knowledge of German is very good (at least B2.2) both spoken and written
- You have experience in DNA isolation and/or PCR analysis and you enjoy learning new techniques
- Your way of working is characterized by great independence and personal responsibility
- You are a team player and have a high level of commitment
You are confident with IT and may have already gained initial experience with a laboratory information management system (LIMS).
