Steward

Role Summary

Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, cutlery and work areas.

Operate dishwashing and cleaning equipment safely and correctly.

Ensure all dishes, glasses, cutlery and kitchen utensils are properly cleaned and stored.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen and back-of-house areas.

Collect and dispose of waste according to the hotel's hygiene and environmental procedures.

Assist with cleaning floors, walls, storage areas, and other designated areas.

Ensure cleaning chemicals are used, stored and handled safely.

Assist kitchen and F&B teams with the movement

Maintain cleanliness of garbage areas and ensure waste bins are emptied regularly.

Report damaged equipment, maintenance issues, shortages, or hygiene concerns to the supervisor.

Follow all health, safety, food hygiene and HACCP procedures.

Support the team during busy service periods and special events.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or kitchen environment would be an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety
