Role Summary

  • Working student: statistics (m/f/d)
  • 25 € / hour · 20 hours / week · Possible transition to a permanent position after completing your studies · Small team, big responsibility
  • What it's about

We accompany medical professionals through their doctorate - from methodology to evaluation to the finished dissertation. Our clients are not students, but adult professionals who have to deliver.

As a working student, you work directly on real mandates: you carry out statistical evaluations, support the discussion of methods, check scientific texts and work your way up to independent client care step by step. This is not a coffee-making student position, but real professional responsibility with senior backup.

Honestly

We are a small company with high turnover and high efficiency. We need careful, committed and thoughtful working students who work methodically cleanly, want to learn and take on responsibility in a growing company.

In return, you get something that a typical working student job doesn't offer: real mandates from day 1, direct customer contact, visible impact of your work, and a clear path to a permanent position after you graduate - if your performance is right.

  • What you do
  • Carry out statistical analyzes in R, Python, SPSS and MAXQDA - under guidance and with increasing independence
  • Check method sections in dissertations for correctness and clarity
  • Doctoral students explain simple methods in writing and in conversation
  • Senior consultants work on more complex mandates
  • Take on your own smaller mandates as soon as you are professionally confident
  • Use AI and automation tools to make evaluations more efficient
  • What you bring with you

Enrolled in statistics, psychology (empirical/quantitative), social sciences (quant), business mathematics, business administration with an empirical focus, mathematics, public health (quantitative) or comparable.

Bachelor from the 4th semester or in the Master. Previous semesters only if the Stats Tutor track is clear.

At least 12 months of study time remaining - we invest in you and it should be worth it.

Current statistical practice. You specifically used SPSS, R or Python in the last semester - for homework, tutorials, working student jobs or your own projects.

Experience in explaining methods - as a tutor, trainer, study group tutor, assistant at the chair or comparable. Anyone who has ever calmly explained statistics to someone has the most important soft skill.

Structured, methodical way of working. You plan before you get started. You work carefully instead of hectically. You recognize inconsistencies in data or text.

Personal responsibility and commitment. You meet deadlines, deliver reliably, and ask questions when you get stuck - before you lose days.

German at C2 level — you have to correct texts and communicate clearly in writing with senior clients.

Desire for the private sector, not a university career.

Tutoring/tutoring track is explicitly desired - if you have already done a study group, practice management or similar, send that to us.

Benefits

  • Working time: 20 hours / week, flexibly compatible with the study schedule
  • Real tasks: Your own mandates, your own customers, your own evaluations - no unskilled worker stuff
  • Mentoring: Personal training by senior consultants, tool training, method discussion
  • Professional environment: MacBook, modern tools, AI stack - no tinkering solutions
  • Transition option: Anyone who delivers will receive an offer to take on a permanent position after completing their studies
  • Clear structures: Max. 2-3 people per office, no corporate politics, no meetings without a purpose
  • Who we're not looking for

We are not looking for working students who need a CV entry and miss making coffee. No students who want to do a doctorate or stay in academia after graduation. No theorists who get lost in details without delivering. Anyone who is slow, unreliable or conflict-averse will not be happy here - and neither will we.

We are looking for someone who works calmly, methodically and results-oriented - and for whom the internship position can be the first step into a serious career with us.

Additional Information

Send us your CV, current certificate of enrollment and a short, personal cover letter.

Why you want to work with us as a working student - and not in a company or as an assistant at the university.

What specifically do you want to do after you graduate?

Relevant work, code or project examples are welcome.

We sort out incomplete applications. If you receive suitable applications, we will contact you within 5 working days.
