Role Summary

Sport Partnership Manager Germany (m/f/d) – Contractor

We are looking for a motivated, independent personality who will actively help shape the development of Abler in the Germany / DACH region.

In this role you will be responsible for market expansion in Germany. You will work closely with sports clubs and sports organizations and help us to further expand our presence in the market.

Abler is already used by organizations around clubs such as Chelsea F.C., Newcastle United and Barcelona. In England we work with around 40% of the clubs in the top four leagues. We already have our first customers in Germany and are continuing to expand our presence.

We are convinced that we have a very strong value proposition and create real added value for sports organizations. Our goal is to make this quality and structure available in popular sports.

If you have the right attitude and motivation, we will support you with everything you need to be successful in the role.

Maybe you've never formally worked in sales before. Maybe today you are a youth leader, a trainer, in a business office or were an active athlete yourself - and everyone in your area knows you. This is exactly you: This is your chance to turn your network and your experience in sports into a career.

Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining relationships with clubs and sports organizations
  • Actively approach and develop new business opportunities
  • Conducting conversations, product demos and closing deals
  • Representing Abler in the market – at clubs, at tournaments and events
  • Sharing market and customer feedback with the team
  • This is important to us – the basic requirements

You are at home in organized sport and have a real network. You know people in clubs and associations, trainers, youth leaders, boards of directors, offices. Ideally in the junior and youth sector and in one of the major sports (football, handball, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics or comparable). What matters is not the type of sport, but rather that you can pick up the phone today and get appointments.

In the beginning it's all about opening doors. At the beginning, your focus is on access: activating contacts, starting conversations, creating appointments. We'll do the rest together - you'll get all the support you need, and an Abler colleague will join you in discussions and demos. As you get trained, you take on more responsibility step by step until you can conduct the discussions independently and advance the market yourself.

  • You actively approach people. You don’t wait for leads to come to you. You approach clubs, stick with them and bring conversations to a conclusion - even when things get quieter.
  • You can sell. Maybe you've never called it "sales" - but you've already convinced parents, board members or sponsors. You understand a simple process: understand the need, show the solution, make a decision. A perfect SaaS resume is not necessary – results and reliability matter.
  • This is what you also bring with you
  • Experience in sales or business development – or strong relationship building skills
  • Your own connection to sport (e.g. as a player, coach or in a club)
  • Very good knowledge of German and good English
  • Independent, structured way of working
  • Residence in the DACH region

A perfect resume is not crucial. What is more important is your network, your energy, your mindset and your ability to inspire people.

  • This is what awaits you
  • High level of personal responsibility and a lot of creative freedom
  • Direct influence on market expansion in Germany
  • Clear development prospects towards permanent employment
  • Flexible arrangement (part-time also possible at the start)
  • Close training, clear playbooks and support from the entire Abler team
  • About Abler

Abler develops the operating system for sports organizations.

Our platform was developed in Iceland, a country with one of the strongest organized sports systems in the world. Iceland is considered internationally as a model for successful sports development. Today, around 75% of the Icelandic population uses Abler in the context of sport - from grassroots to professional structures.

Our goal is to make sports organizations better and thereby promote the development of people and communities through sport.
