Role Summary

You open our online shop, see thousands of visitors every day - and know exactly: far too few of them actually buy. That's exactly what you're changing from now on.

Valkental has been developing high-quality outdoor products for more safety and comfort in road traffic since 2020; over 400,000 customers now trust our products.

Our Shopify store is already eight figures, our goal is nine figures by 2030.

As our new Shopify CRO & E-Commerce Manager (full-time - 40 hours per week), you will take complete responsibility for everything customers see, read, feel and buy on our shop - with analysis of our key figures, sales-strong copywriting and a clear CRO strategy, you will ensure that visitors become buyers and buyers become fans.

Important: For us it's not about programming or technical implementation - our developer takes care of that completely. You bring the strategy, the analysis and the words that sell.

Responsibilities

You are responsible for the entire customer journey of our online shop - from product pages to category pages to checkout - and use strategy, analysis and copywriting to ensure that visitors become paying customers.

You develop new product pages from strategy to copywriting and continually optimize existing pages. If necessary, our team is available to help you with the design, and modern AI tools work really well - conversion rate optimization is a never-ending process for us. Because we are constantly bringing new products onto the market and there is always something to improve, you are guaranteed to never get bored.

  • You continuously analyze our key figures (conversion rate, average order value, revenue per user) and determine where in the purchasing process we need to start in order to get more from our traffic.
  • Together with our backend developer, you will take over ongoing e-commerce management - from smaller updates to larger optimization topics. The strategy and idea development is entirely up to you.

Requirements

  • You have already proven to have worked on the front end of a large, successful e-commerce store (ideally with Shopify) and can present concrete results and KPIs.
  • You are at home in sales psychology and conversion rate optimization and know how to guide visitors step by step through the buying process.
  • You know and master the relevant key figures – CR, AOV, RPU – and know how to specifically work on them.
  • You have already gained e-commerce experience in a professional work context - a degree or training is less important to us than proven success.
  • A true growth mindset: You want to constantly develop, are curious and adapt as our industry and our tools change.
  • You are AI-native: The latest AI tools are a natural part of your everyday life - whether in copywriting, design ideas or analyzing our key figures - and you use them to maximize your skills and results.
  • A basic understanding of programming or technical contexts (e.g. as a business IT specialist) is not a must, but it helps when working with our backend developer.
  • You speak and write German fluently and error-free - for everyday communication in the team, for strategy discussions with management and for sales-strong copywriting that really works.

Benefits

  • Real responsibility from day one (from the idea to the strategy to implementation): You will design the entire front end of our eight-figure Shopify store with the goal of growing to nine figures together by 2030.
  • 100% Remote: You work from wherever you want, as long as you live in Europe, meet your deadlines, attend the few meetings and are available.
  • Direct line to management: No detour through three levels - you speak directly to the people who make decisions.
  • Good retention rate: Our customers buy from us again. This gives you a solid foundation to build on.
  • Honest feedback instead of niceties – that will get you and us further faster than polite talking around.
  • One or two team events a year where you can see each other without a screen in between.
  • Does this sound like your next job? Then we don't want to read a cover letter first, but rather see what you can do: Show us product pages, landing pages or CRO tests that you have already implemented - preferably with the results (conversion rate, AOV, sales).
  • Important: We sort out applications without work samples.
  • Error 500 (Server Error)!!1500.That’s an error. There was an error. Please try again later. That’s all we know.
