Job description
- Location:
- Essen, Germany
- Work arrangement:
- On-site
Role Summary
Would you like to work innovatively and sustainably in heat supply with over 25 colleagues, promote the decarbonization of heating networks and perhaps also implement this as a project manager? Do you find it easy to prepare tender documents as well as contract negotiations, discussions with authorities and client advice for local and district heating networks? You know the HOAI planning phases and know which documents are required. Instead of just a few kWth, you are excited about complex projects in the MWth range that you want to see in real operation.
If these characteristics apply to you and you are looking for a meaningful career perspective, this position could be right for you. Become part of our District Energy team as our new senior route planner (m/f/d) - district heating and work with us to shape a future worth living.
As a senior route planner, you will actively support us in bringing district heating from primarily renewable heat sources to end customers. With us you can take projects from the early project phases (feasibility) through to implementation (construction support). Do you find it easy to exchange ideas with other experts (including internationally)? Do you score points at customer meetings with your strong communication skills and professional knowledge? Then click on the “Apply” box NOW and become part of a team consisting of thought leaders who develop innovative solutions in a relaxed atmosphere.
- Your main tasks will be the following
- Planning and design of district heating routes across all service phases of the HOAI, taking technical, economic and ecological aspects into account
- Carrying out location analyzes and feasibility studies
- Communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders, including project teams, authorities and clients
- Monitoring and coordinating construction site activities
- Creation and review of technical drawings and plans
- Accompanying the award process including developing the tender documents and examining offers
- About you
At Ramboll, we support you in your personal and professional development right from the start.
- To get started with us as a senior route planner, you have the following skills and experience:
- Completed studies in civil engineering, supply engineering or a similar field
- At least 3 years of experience in planning and approval planning for route projects (primarily district heating)
- Sound construction site experience and good understanding of construction processes
- Knowledge of various installation methods and materials
- Experience with pipe statics software such as sisKMR
- Strong communication skills to interact efficiently with various stakeholders
- Sound knowledge of drawing and the use of relevant software tools (e.g. AutoCAD and GIS)
- Solution-oriented, proactive, creative planning action
- Communicating your work results with visual impact (experience with MS PowerPoint, MS Visio, CAD, etc. programs) to third parties
- Very good knowledge of German and English
- What we offer you
Ramboll has anchored the issue of sustainability as a top priority in its strategy. The fact that Ramboll is run by a foundation supports our focus on a long-term and sustainable corporate strategy. With us you will actively participate in changes within society.
- Flexible working hours and work locations
- Hybrid working: 2-3 days of mobile working per week
- Permanent employment, possibly also part-time
- An extensively subsidized ‘Germany ticket’
- Subsidy for company pension provision and business insurance
- Invest in your development
- Supervisors who live our leadership principles
- A culture that welcomes you as the individual person you are
- Inspiring colleagues, customers and projects
- The long-term, strategic thinking of a foundation-owned company
- Welcome to the District Energy and Master Planning Department
Ramboll develops concepts and solutions for the energy sector along the entire value chain: from energy extraction and production to storage and distribution to end customers. With our international and interdisciplinary expertise as well as our locations within Germany, we cover the full range as planners and consultants, especially in the area of renewable energies and cross-sector energy supply (heat, electricity, transport).
We support our customers from strategic analyses, concrete concepts and studies through approval and implementation planning to tendering, awarding, construction and commissioning of heating centers, storage systems and heating networks, with the aim of decarbonizing our energy industry as quickly as possible.
Our topics are diverse and consist of different technical focuses: heat generation with all system components (large heat pumps, solar thermal energy, biomass, etc.), (district) heating networks and heat storage (including ground basin heat storage, atmospheric storage).
