Senior Project Controller (m/w/d) – Controlling | Qvest Group | Köln

Role Summary

As a (Senior) Project Controller, you take on a central role in the financial management of our projects. You analyze key figures, budgets and project developments, thereby creating a transparent basis for well-founded decisions. You will work closely with project management, PMO and other stakeholders. With your analytical eye, you identify deviations at an early stage and support the successful and economical implementation of our projects. At the same time, you have the opportunity to actively develop controlling processes and systems.

Responsibilities

• Creation, analysis and presentation of monthly project reports and ensuring overall financial management
• Execution and coordination of project evaluations and financial project reviews
• Multi-project controlling across multiple projects and business units
• Analysis of plan-actual deviations as well as monitoring of budgets, forecasts, backlog and project costs
• Monitoring of resource allocation and utilization rates including corresponding reports
• Control and monitoring of project billing, payment milestones and intercompany billing
• Operational support and close coordination with project management and PMO
• Carrying out ad hoc analyzes and evaluations for management and other stakeholders
• Support with project administration and maintenance of relevant systems, including time recording and project data
• Further development of controlling processes and systems as well as contact person for business issues related to projects

Requirements

• Successfully completed technical/university studies in the field of economics or similar with relevant focuses
• Several years of professional experience in the area of project controlling
• Very good analytical thinking skills as well as a structured and solution-oriented way of working
• Good understanding of complex projects with a high affinity for numbers and the associated ability to present reports transparently
• High degree of independence and initiative
• Cross-hierarchy communication skills that you can confidently use in an international environment
• You can prioritize tasks independently and keep an eye on the details even during periods of high workload
• Very good knowledge of using MS Office programs, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Very good knowledge of German and English, both spoken and written
