As a Senior Java Backend Developer (f/m/d) you will take responsibility for central technical components of our platform. You develop sophisticated backend services, design integrations and make technology decisions that make our platform scalable, stable and future-proof in the long term.

This could be your part in the mission

Conception and development of robust backend services and integrations for our platforms together with all stakeholders involved (e.g. Dev, Product, external partners)

• Designing technical solutions together with Development, Product and external partners
• Further development of the platform by making sound technology and architectural decisions
• Analysis and development of solutions for complex technical challenges
• Application of clean code, test driven development and code reviews for high code quality
• Development of interfaces and integrations to different systems and APIs
• Transfer of knowledge to the team

Requirements

What we want from you

• Several years of experience in professional Java backend development
• Very good knowledge of Java, the JVM and the relevant ecosystem, especially Spring and Hibernate/JPA
• Experience in designing, evaluating and further developing complex software architectures
• Competence in designing, evaluating and further developing complex software architectures
• Independent analysis of complex and critical challenges and implementation of solutions
• A high quality standard for code, architecture and test coverage
• Experience with different forms of API and integration, such as REST, WebServices and messaging
• Ability to independently analyze complex technical problems and develop pragmatic, sustainable solutions
• Enjoy explaining technical decisions in a comprehensible manner and communicating with products, customers and other stakeholders on an equal footing
• Fluent German and good English skills

Experience with the Vaadin UI framework

• We value your experience and competence and are guided by market salaries. The collective minimum salary for this position is €3,565.50 gross per month. Depending on qualifications and experience, significant overpayment is possible.
