We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with expertise in GCP to work across the board, meeting data demands from different areas of the company. The professional will operate in a Build & Run model, dividing himself between building new solutions and supporting what is already in production — which requires moving naturally between these two roles, without losing pace in either of them.

We are looking for someone who works as a team, not in technical isolation: who knows how to communicate well, coordinate those involved and bring the right people to the table when a critical problem arises under pressure, instead of trying to solve everything alone. It is a large-scale, dynamic corporate environment, where a sense of urgency and priority, collaboration and transparency make all the difference in everyday life.

Responsibilities

• Pipeline Construction (ETL/ELT): Develop automated pipelines for ingesting data from different areas and systems of the company into GCP, applying Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
• Data Governance: Structure and provide governed views in the Analytics layer (BigQuery), ensuring the integrity and quality of data for downstream consumption by multiple areas.

Support Model (Run) and Sense of Urgency: Act in resolving incidents in production with a sense of urgency and priority, quickly identifying situations with potential impact on the end customer — even if this means temporarily pausing an ongoing project delivery — and coordinating the teams involved when necessary to resolve critical problems quickly.

Technical Collaboration: Work directly with the software engineering team and with various business areas, ensuring that the solution is aligned with the company's architecture and security standards.

Solid and Practical Experience in GCP (minimum 4 years): Proven experience in real production projects with Google Cloud Platform — mastery of BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer (Airflow) and Dataplex (for governance). Certification or training alone is not a substitute for practical experience.

• Data Architecture at Scale (minimum 3 years): Experience in Medallion architecture and in data migration projects or building data platforms from scratch ("green field"), with a history of complex integrations or migrations in large-scale environments.
• Data Engineering (minimum 6 years of total experience): Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for handling large volumes of data.
• Sense of Urgency and Priority: Proven ability to quickly assess when an incident in production — especially with a risk of impact on the end customer — should be addressed before an ongoing project delivery, acting quickly without losing sight of both fronts.
• Operational Maturity (minimum 2 years in Build & Run model): Real experience in support models (Run), with comfort to switch between development and incident resolution as urgency requires.
• Senior Profile and Technical Leadership Posture: Security to lead the key turnaround of an end-to-end data environment, and to act in dynamic contexts and under pressure.

Multisectoral Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to communicate simultaneously with multiple profiles and areas — analysts, software engineers and different business areas of the company — managing conflicting priorities and interests of different systems and demands, without losing your calm under pressure.

Experience in corporate environments: Ability to translate business requirements from different areas into scalable technical solutions, without depending on domain knowledge of a specific sector.

Differences

• Official Google Cloud certifications (Professional Data Engineer or similar).
• Previous experience with audit/risk tools such as TeamMate.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices applied to data (DataOps).

Remote Work

Project Time: 6 months, with the possibility of extension.
