Role Summary

Join our R&D center in Grenoble.

Within the Energy Management activity, we are looking for an Embedded Software Designer specialized in embedded systems under Linux.

As part of a strategic project aimed at renewing the current generation of Power Meters - high-precision, communicating meters with a display and compliant with SL2 cybersecurity - the team is responsible for developing the firmware for the communication subsystem.

Responsibilities

If you wish to contribute to the construction of the next generation of Power Meters, your missions will include:

  • Contribute to the product's embedded software architecture.

The ability to define both low-level and application architecture would be a real asset.

  • Be responsible for the development and maintenance of the lower layers (BSP - Board Support Package) as well as the Yocto system layer.
  • Structure and maintain the Yocto build system dedicated to image generation.
  • Develop software components according to best practices and internal quality standards.
  • Validate software deliverables through testing, automation and continuous integration activities.
  • Manage software requirements and anomalies in a structured manner, ensuring end-to-end traceability.
  • Collaborate closely with other squads (System, Hardware, Firmware Measurement part, V&V) as well as with partner teams (central teams, in charge of software platforms and commissioning and configuration software).

Requirements

  • You hold a Master's degree (BAC+5) in computer science.
  • You have 7 to 10 years of experience in embedded software development, particularly in: - Kernel/driver development on Linux systems.
  • The integration of embedded software under Yocto.
  • Programming of multi-core ARM processors and development of real-time applications.
  • Working in an Agile environment.
  • You are fluent in English and French, both spoken and written.
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • You demonstrate rigor, curiosity, analytical skills and appreciate teamwork.
