Embedded systems engineer (M/F) at ALTEN in Boulogne-Billancourt, IDF, France.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and integrate embedded software into real-time or constrained systems
• Participate in the definition of the software architecture and the functional analysis of needs
• Develop, test and validate on-board modules in conjunction with the electronics, software and system teams
• Contribute to on-target integration, debugging and resolution of technical issues
• Write technical documentation and ensure traceability of developments

Requirements

• Training / Experience
• Bac+5 diploma (engineering school or equivalent) with a specialization in computer science, electronics, embedded systems or equivalent field
• A first successful experience (around 2 to 3 years) in embedded development

Technical skills

• Mastery of an embedded language (C/C++, possibly Python for tools)
• Knowledge of microcontrollers, communication buses and real-time environments
• Practice of embedded development tools (debuggers, compilation chains, IDE)
• Understanding of performance, safety and consumption constraints
• Ability to analyze, test and make embedded software reliable
• Personal qualities
• Autonomy, rigor, spirit of analysis and synthesis
• Relational ease and writing skills
• Languages and mobility
• Professional command of English (read, written, spoken)
