Quality Engineer at Bosch Group in Mexicali, BAJA CALIFORNIA, Mexico.
Responsibilities
- Participate in product failure analysis to determine the root cause and apply necessary containment and correction measures; document claims if they are due to defects in raw materials.
- Perform statistical analysis of defects to develop prevention, containment and correction measures, as well as to reduce waste.
- Provide support to production and engineering departments by preparing pilot run reports and validating production readiness.
- Validate tools and machinery using statistical process control (SPC), capacity studies (Cpk) and other quality indicators to ensure consistent performance.
5.-Coordinate the preparation of test plans for engineering changes and supervise their execution in order to verify improvements in design and processes.
- Perform internal audit functions for ISO 9001 processes and lead corrective action initiatives to maintain compliance with quality management standards.
7.- Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including inspection records, test reports and non-conformity reports, ensuring accurate and timely maintenance of records.
- Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate and improve the quality of raw materials, including supplier audits and performance evaluations.
- Analyze quality trends and metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and present the results to management and cross-functional teams.
- Provide training and guidance to production and quality personnel on quality procedures, inspection techniques and the proper use of quality tools and equipment.
Requirements
**Educational background:** - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or Industrial Engineering **Work experience:** - Between 3 and 5 years of experience in quality control, quality engineering or a related manufacturing environment
- Mastery of basic tools (SPC, ISIR, MSA, FMEA) - Advanced mastery of handling measuring equipment (micrometer, Vernier, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for the preparation of documentation and reports
- **Desirable requirements:**
- Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) or ASQ Quality Engineer Certification
- Experience with statistical analysis software and quality management systems
- Familiarity with design of experiments (DOE) and process capability studies
- Demonstrated experience conducting internal audits and leading corrective action initiatives
- Great attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement methodologies
