4201 - Supplier Quality Engineer

Role Summary

We are looking for a Project Manager with experience in coordinating launch activities in the areas of painting and bodywork, to support an OEM in the automotive industry in the management, installation and start-up of industrial projects.

Supplier and Process Development

Determination of elements of the Parts Quality Plan (PQP) (FAI, capacity study, FMEA, control plan, R&R of measuring instruments), approval and execution with the supplier.

Responsibilities

Activities to do

Conduct supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, supplier improvements, supplier capacity and capabilities assessment, and assist key suppliers to achieve industry standards of excellence.

Work with suppliers on design control activities, design verification and validation, production and process controls, corrective and preventive actions, complaint handling, risk assessment and management with cross-functional teams, and product quality improvement using tools such as Six Sigma, DFR, etc.

• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure availability of parts and equipment, and provide updates as necessary.
• Ensure timely development or duplication of tests.
• Submit the PPAP (Production Parts Approval Process) for all parts.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to generate Quality documentation.
• Ensure that suppliers meet Quality requirements
• Conduct design reviews between engineering and suppliers.

Requirements

• Previous experience in quality, manufacturing, product quality, supplier development or engineering in a manufacturing environment
• Data management/Excel
• Project management
• Analytical problem solving and handling of complex tasks
• Leadership and influence
• High level of judgment
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Experience in mechanical and electronic commodities (desirable)
