Role Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for the complete delivery of services, ensuring that the client's objectives are met through the provision of an effective service. You will work in direct interface with the client and other consultants in all phases of the projects.

You will be responsible for the overall management of project costs, schedule and budget, as well as the management of the main construction company, suppliers and consultants hired directly.

It will review construction proposals and respective costs and scopes, validate and evaluate the services performed, approve investment disbursements (CAPEX), including the review of cost estimates prepared by contractors and other activities inherent to the needs of the projects.

Work with the planning, organization, programming, direction and control of project activities, ensuring that deliveries are carried out within the established deadlines.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Effectively analyze, monitor, and manage critical project milestones to avoid schedule delays.
  • Conduct and lead meetings with clients and other interested parties, presenting updates on all phases of the project.
  • Identify factors that impact construction costs, monitoring and reporting this information.
  • Support engineering decisions related to project costs and budget during design and construction changes.
  • Review payment requests.
  • Monitor and ensure that equipment is delivered according to the project schedule.
  • Record occurrences that may result in claims or contractual claims, acting on behalf of the client.
  • Represent and defend the client's interests in disputes, disagreements, contractual modifications or change requests.
  • Coordinate and supervise reviews carried out by planning and scheduling consultants.
  • Review and approve final invoices, measurements, payment requests, and contractual holdback releases.
  • Manage and supervise the transfer of building operations to the client, including all project closure documentation and warranties.
  • Adopt a collaborative approach, maintaining close relationships with the client and developing solid relationships with stakeholders.
  • Deliver presentations safely and professionally to clients and interested parties.
  • Demonstrate an assertive stance and attention to detail, identifying risks and potential problems in advance and promoting their resolution.
  • Prove a track record of success in delivering relevant projects.
  • Use advanced tools for electronic spreadsheets, reporting and executive presentations.
  • Manage teams, leading professionals in the execution of services and exercising direct management when applicable.
  • Manage revenue, team resources and operational priorities, ensuring customer expectations are met.

Requirements

Training and Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working in a similar position.
  • Experience in the operating segment.
  • Degree in Engineering.
  • Intermediate English desirable.
