Project manager (f/m/d) infrastructure ‒ EPCM industrial projects

Role Summary

As an innovative and future-oriented company, we at Drees & Sommer act as a solution provider for highly complex projects and an integral partner in the planning and implementation of industrial sites in the sectors of semiconductor and battery cell production, automotive, life sciences, chemistry as well as power plant and process technology. We provide the design of the technical systems and buildings in-house, as well as all other services in the project's value chain.

In this role, you will combine project management on a large project level with close proximity to infrastructure planning - from the early concept phase to implementation.

We are looking for you to manage the infrastructure project for highly complex and large-volume EPCM industrial construction projects. Here you will assume overall technical, organizational and economic responsibility for the infrastructure sub-project across all service phases.

Project management of infrastructure projects in demanding, large-volume EPC/EPCM construction projects in an industrial environment

Overall responsibility for managing the infrastructure sub-project with regard to deadlines, costs and quality in close coordination with the overall project management

• Coordination and technical management of all specialist planners involved as well as ensuring integral cooperation
• Central control of the interfaces between infrastructure, architecture, structural planning, TGA and authorities
• Structuring, evaluation and quality assurance of the planning results across all service phases
• Control and monitoring of internal and external planning teams (without our own planning services)
• Contact person for clients, project participants and authorities across all project phases - from initiation to commissioning

Requirements

Completed studies in civil engineering, industrial engineering, infrastructure management, urban planning, transport, mobility management or a comparable qualification

• Several years of experience in project management of infrastructure or industrial projects, ideally in the EPC/EPCM environment
• Sound understanding of infrastructure planning, planning processes and complex interfaces
• No own planning required, but strong ability to professionally evaluate and control planning services
• Knowledge of the relevant regulations (HOAI, AHO, VOB, VgV) as well as experience in using project management tools (e.g. MS Project)
• Experience in coordinating interdisciplinary planning teams and various stakeholders
• Very good knowledge of German and English, both spoken and written
• Willingness to travel within Europe for project-related purposes
• Strong communication skills, decision-making skills and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
