Role Summary
As an innovative and future-oriented company, we at Drees & Sommer act as a solution provider for highly complex projects and an integral partner in the planning and implementation of industrial projects in the process industry and power plant technology, including in the life sciences, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, power plant construction and steel production sectors. We provide the design of the technical systems and buildings in-house, as well as all other services in the project's value chain. We are looking for you and your expertise as an experienced project manager for the comprehensive overall project management of highly complex and large-volume EPCM projects.

Assuming overall responsibility for highly complex and large-volume EPCM projects, e.g. in the life science, pharmaceutical/chemical or power plant construction/process industries
- Ensuring holistic, strategic-operational project management including responsibility for costs, deadlines and quality
- Proactive and independent making of all necessary project decisions
- Leading and controlling the entire project team and assuming the role as the “face of Drees & Sommer” and the first point of contact for the customer
- Ensuring collaboration and communication between all internal and external stakeholders, as well as with the business unit and the entire company
- Bringing about the success of the project using all human and material resources made available
Requirements
- Completed studies in civil engineering, industrial engineering, construction, construction management and construction operations or a comparable qualification
- Extensive, many years of professional experience in a position of overall responsibility in project management of complex industrial projects, ideally EPC/EPCM projects
- Understanding of the entire planning and execution process of large construction projects as well as entrepreneurial flair
- Independent, conceptual, structured and cross-disciplinary way of working
- Solution-oriented negotiation skills and a good feel for people and issues
- Full willingness to travel for project-related purposes within Germany and Europe
