Role Summary

Actively shape the future of energy and vehicle technology by reducing CO₂ emissions and conserving resources. New semiconductor components are used in power electronics for electric drives, the development of which you help drive forward. Are you ready to create the next generation of energy efficient systems with wide bandgap materials like silicon carbide (SiC) and make a real difference?

As part of our team, you will develop and simulate precise wide-bandgap power components and test structures.

With modern TCAD simulations you can analyze the physical properties of the components down to the last detail.

They produce power components and test structures in Bosch's own research clean room.

You examine and characterize the manufactured components comprehensively with regard to their electrical and physical properties.

In doing so, you will build a deep understanding of the interaction between electrical properties and TCAD simulations.

Based on the characterization results, you continuously optimize and calibrate the simulation models.

  • Education: completed studies (master/diploma) in the field of physics, electrical engineering or a comparable field with excellent academic achievements
  • Experience and know-how: very good knowledge of solid state and power semiconductor physics and technology; Experience in semiconductor modeling; Expertise in wide-bandgap or III-V semiconductors is desirable

Personality and way of working: You analyze complex relationships in a structured and far-sighted manner in order to develop well-founded and goal-oriented solutions; You contribute your own ideas, represent them convincingly and maintain an overview even in challenging situations; Trustful teamwork is a given for you and an important success factor
