Role Summary

Independent planning of engineering structures of the transport infrastructure in service phases 1-6 of the HOAI

Development of technical solutions for bridges, supporting structures, culverts, pedestrian underpasses and other engineering structures in the rail and road sectors

  • Creation, coordination and quality assurance of planning documents in interdisciplinary infrastructure projects
  • Technical coordination with clients, authorities, experts as well as internal and external planning partners
  • Coordination of interfaces to related disciplines such as traffic systems, railway equipment, environmental planning, surveying and structural planning
  • Participation in variant investigations, feasibility studies and the technical optimization of infrastructure measures
  • Ensuring project processing is carried out on time, within costs and in accordance with quality
  • Support in the preparation of tender documents and technical reports

Requirements

Successfully completed studies in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering or a comparable field. Several years of professional experience in the planning of civil engineering structures, ideally in the area of transport infrastructure. Sound knowledge of property planning as well as understanding of the relevant planning processes and performance phases. Knowledge of specialist civil engineering and geotechnics is an advantage. Experience in managing complex infrastructure projects desirable.

Skills

Good knowledge of the relevant German and European standards, regulations and guidelines. Strong communication and coordination skills when dealing with different project participants. Solid understanding of technical connections and interdisciplinary planning processes. Very good knowledge of German and good knowledge of spoken and written English.
