Network architect (m/f/d) at Sopra Steria in bundesweit, Germany.

Role Summary

  • You plan and design LAN, WAN, WLAN and cloud networks for demanding IT environments
  • You will further develop network architectures for data centers, locations and hybrid on-premises and cloud environments
  • The conception of highly available and geo-redundant network architectures is part of your area of responsibility
  • You continuously develop and optimize network strategies, standards and architectural specifications
  • You evaluate and select suitable network and security technologies such as routers, switches, firewalls, SD-WAN and NAC
  • You integrate security requirements such as network segmentation, zero trust, VPN and IDS/IPS into the architecture
  • You implement architectural specifications in close collaboration with IT security, cloud, platform and infrastructure teams
  • You analyze and solve complex network problems and provide support with technical escalations
  • You create architectural concepts, migration plans, technical documentation and carry out performance analyzes and capacity planning
  • You will also support tenders, projects and architectural assessments

Consulting means flexibility: Your project assignment depends on our customers and your project situation - you work throughout Germany in our offices, at the customer's site and from home

Requirements

  • You have a degree in computer science, network technology, electrical engineering or a comparable qualification
  • You have several years of practical experience in network engineering and ideally in the planning and architecture of larger network environments
  • Experience in enterprise, data center or carrier environments is an advantage
  • You are characterized by strong analytical and conceptual thinking
  • You have the ability to present complex technical relationships in an understandable manner and to provide technical advice to various stakeholders
  • You work independently and in a structured manner and show the willingness to take on responsibility in projects
  • The ability to work in a team and experience in cross-departmental collaboration is present
  • Good knowledge of German and English (at least B2) rounds off your profile
