Role Summary

Do you want to help shape the sustainable society of the future? Then AFRY is the workplace for you!

With us, you will be part of a committed team that works broadly with community development. We are driven by creating attractive, inclusive and sustainable cities and communities. Our clients are located within municipalities, regions and state authorities, but also private actors.

As a project manager, you are a central person in the projects. You are responsible for budget, schedule, quality and delivery according to schedule - from planning to implementation. The role also means that you lead and support other consultants and ensure that our deliveries meet the customer's requirements and technical standards. The assignments vary from smaller local projects to larger, long-term and complex assignments that span several years

In your role, you collaborate closely with the customer, other technology areas and various stakeholders to create integrated and sustainable solutions that meet the needs of the projects.

You will start from one of our offices in Piteå or Luleå

Requirements

We are looking for you who have a high school, college, or civil engineering degree in civil engineering, or who have the equivalent relevant work experience. You have at least three years of experience as a task manager or project manager, have worked in multidisciplinary projects and want to take a more senior role in leading complex projects and act as a mentor to others.

You have good knowledge of finance and business practices and experience in managing budgets and resources with good financial insight. We also see that you have good knowledge of the laws, standards and technical guidelines that govern the industry, and that you can ensure that our projects comply with current regulations and maintain high, technical quality.

  • To be successful in the role, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as you will collaborate with both national and international actors.
  • Since we work continuously with international partners, it is advantageous if you have experience of managing employees in other countries.
  • Work experience as a contractor, or with our clients is advantageous.
  • In summary, we are looking for a committed, structured and technically skilled leader who wants to be involved and ensure that our projects not only meet today's requirements, but also contribute to shaping the sustainable societies of the future.

Benefits

As a consultant with us, you will never be alone in your mission. Here you step into an organization where strong teamwork, open areas for sharing knowledge and a broad professional network are a matter of course.

You get access to experienced colleagues, specialist skills, mentoring and several internal networks that help you grow - both in your role and in your projects. Whether you need a sounding board, technical expertise, methodological support or just someone to discuss ideas with, the support structures are already in place.

  • We believe that the consultant's strength comes from the combination of own drive and a secure base to lean on. That's why we offer:
  • Support from a committed team that follows you through all phases of the mission
  • Several competence networks where you meet colleagues with similar focus areas
  • A culture that encourages collaboration, learning and generosity
  • Access to both local and national networks, so you can always find the right skills near you
  • With us, you are part of something bigger - a context where your ideas are put to good use, where you get to develop and where we together create the best possible delivery to our customers.
  • Does this sound interesting? Welcome with your application, the application deadline is 2026-08-15. We go through the selection on an ongoing basis.
