Role Summary

MANAGER (m/f/d) - Environmental, Health & Safety

Full-time / Permanent

In this position, you will take on a central role in the strategic and operational development of Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) and Health & Wellbeing in the European CSL Plasma network. You ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements and support the locations in implementing effective measures for prevention, risk minimization and continuous improvement. At the same time, you promote a sustainable health and safety culture, strengthen managers and employees and promote the integration of health, safety and sustainability into daily work processes. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders as well as local EH&S managers and make a significant contribution to a safe, healthy and sustainable working environment.

Providing EH&S expertise to CSL Plasma

Ensuring EH&S compliance and regulatory requirements, including statutory and regulatory reports, approvals and support in communication with governmental and non-governmental authorities and other stakeholders.

Technical EH&S advice and testing for systems, processes, work procedures, work equipment and new projects as well as regular inspections and assessments of workplaces, working conditions and ergonomics.

Supporting locations and managers in integrating health, safety and sustainability into everyday work as well as in standardizing and continuously improving the EH&S system.

Accompanying changes and improvement initiatives, e.g. B. for new plants, test projects, process optimization and Kaizen activities, including the assessment of locations and the implementation of necessary measures.

Responsibility for specific EH&S issues and events, including crisis and emergency management, occupational accidents and illnesses, and environmental and wellbeing issues.

Health & Wellbeing Management

Responsibility for the further development and implementation of holistic health and well-being management in the European CSL Plasma network, taking global guidelines and local legal requirements into account.

Development, management and success monitoring of health programs in the areas of prevention, ergonomics, mental health, resilience and well-being as well as analysis of relevant health indicators and derivation of improvement measures.

Promoting a sustainable health culture through awareness-raising, communication and advice for managers and employees with the aim of strengthening health, well-being, performance and attendance.

Coordination and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders such as company doctors, healthcare providers, health insurance companies, authorities and the Wellbeing Champion Network to implement effective health initiatives.

Supporting global health and well-being initiatives as well as ensuring local implementation and integration into existing EH&S processes in close collaboration with the Health & Well-being Management Lead Marburg.

People and teams

Supporting the recruitment, retention, training and development of employees and promoting an environment in which teams and individuals can realize their potential and continuously develop.

Promote employee engagement and ownership through a culture of efficient implementation, continuous improvement and active participation in health, safety and sustainability issues.

Responsibilities

Management of EH&S Plasma Europe

• Support the implementation of CSL Plasma's global and regional EH&S strategies and programs and ensure alignment with overall CSL EH&S objectives.
• Identify and assess key EH&S risks, develop appropriate risk mitigation measures, and proactively prevent health and safety incidents and minimize environmental impacts.
• Advising and empowering managers and teams to strengthen their understanding of safety and to anchor safety and health as a shared management task.
• Promoting a sustainable EH&S culture with a focus on health, prevention and well-being as well as the continuous development of the safety culture.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration and communication and transparent reporting on EH&S risks, strategies and performance to senior management.
