Role Summary

The Shipping / Logistics Operator plays a critical role in Avery Dennison's manufacturing operations by supporting the safe and streamlined flow of materials within the operational network. This position includes shipping, receiving and inventory management responsibilities to ensure operational efficiency and seamless integration of workflows across all departments.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and transport materials using hand trucks, forklifts, or other equipment in accordance with safety standards.
  • Reviewing incoming and outgoing materials for quality and accuracy compared to shipping documents.
  • Use of computer systems to track, record, verify and report inventory movements.
  • Adhere to established shipping practices, protocols and transportation schedules to ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Support continuous improvement of workflows by identifying process bottlenecks.

Requirements

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and flexibility in shift work (4 shifts).
  • Experience in operating industrial trucks such as forklifts and a valid forklift license.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management in systems such as Oracle.
  • Strong awareness of workplace safety and compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • High attention to detail when checking shipping documents and inventory.
