Lead Observability Consultant (Dynatrace)

Role Summary

Do you like to work at the intersection of monitoring, performance and cloud, where you really see what happens in complex systems?

As a Lead Observability Consultant you work for both public organizations and enterprise customers. These are environments where systems must be continuously available and where performance has a direct influence on users and processes.

You implement and configure the Dynatrace platform within cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, but also in on-premises landscapes. You ensure that monitoring connects well to the existing infrastructure and that data becomes usable.

You advise customers on how to use observability, with a focus on proactive management, AIOps and insight into the impact of systems on the business. You help teams to work less reactively and intervene earlier.

You train and guide DevOps and operations teams in the use of Dynatrace and help make observability part of CI/CD processes. You can set up dashboards, reports and alerts in such a way that they can be immediately used in practice.

Together with colleagues, you work on environments that remain transparent and in which problems are recognized and resolved more quickly.

There is room to delve further into Dynatrace and obtain certifications. You will have the time and resources to expand your knowledge and share it with colleagues.

Requirements

You bring the following

• A completed HBO or WO education in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computer Science or Industrial Engineering
• At least 3 years of experience with implementation and management of APM or observability tooling such as AppDynamics, New Relic or Prometheus and Grafana
• Affinity with Dynatrace and the motivation to specialize further in this
• Knowledge of observability concepts such as metrics, traces and logs and of Application Performance Management
• Experience with modern architectures such as microservices, and technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenShift and serverless
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP
• Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code, for example with Terraform or Ansible
• Familiar with CI/CD tooling such as GitLab, Jenkins or Azure DevOps
• You can translate technical topics into understandable advice for both engineers and stakeholders
