Role Summary

Reporting to the Head of the local entity and functionally to the EDF / Utilities Account Manager, you develop, implement and manage the strategy of the account(s) for which you are responsible.

The accounts entrusted to you are of a strategic nature for Hitachi Energy, with significant business potential for the majority of our Business Units and/or over a global scope.

In this capacity, you prospect and develop new opportunities by identifying the different stakeholders at the client and acting with them.

You are responsible for coordinating actions in conjunction with the sales organization and existing support teams.

You develop and maintain lasting relationships with all account stakeholders as well as their potential partners.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the main strategic issues of your accounts and translate them into opportunities for Hitachi Energy.
  • Develop sales strategies for the various opportunities identified.
  • Establish detailed account plans and contribute to the definition of commercial objectives.
  • Work closely with the EDF / Utilities Account Manager to develop lasting relationships, preserve existing relationships and promote an industrial partnership approach rather than a transactional approach.
  • Ensure the achievement of defined objectives and documented monitoring of actions undertaken.
  • Create added value for Hitachi Energy in the medium and long term by guaranteeing a coordinated commercial approach (framework agreements, associated actions, etc.).
  • Ensure active technological and competitive monitoring and be a force for proposals on market and price developments.
  • Manage marketing and sales activities via the Salesforce CRM.
  • Maintain a regular and sustained presence with the main market players.
  • Identify strategic projects upstream and anticipate calls for tenders.
  • Support the sales teams in the promotion, prescription and sale of our range of products and systems.
  • Negotiate and finalize the commercial conditions of contracts.
  • Manage, monitor and relaunch the project portfolio.
  • Monitor your account receivables until they are fully recovered.
  • Contribute to the deployment of framework contracts.
  • Participate in the conquest of megaprojects.
  • Develop and lead strategic reviews with the accounts for which you are responsible.
  • Create and mobilize an internal team dedicated to supporting your accounts, in coordination with the EDF team.

Requirements

  • Graduate of Bac+3 to Bac+5 training in electrical engineering, automation or a related field, you have at least 5 years of experience in the electrical engineering, electrical networks or renewable energy sectors, acquired with a manufacturer, an OEM or an installer of electrical equipment.
  • Knowledge of the French utilities sector as well as practical experience in this environment would be appreciated.
  • You stand out for your leadership and your ability to lead complex commercial negotiations with determination.
  • Listening to your contacts, you know how to analyze the market, identify opportunities and act as a true internal facilitator.
  • You are recognized for your ability to unite teams, to be proactive and to place customer satisfaction at the heart of your actions.
  • You are proficient in IT tools and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
  • English is an integral part of your work environment; mastery of a second foreign language is an additional advantage.
  • Regular short-term travel is expected in France and internationally.
