Role Summary

Ready to push the boundaries of what is known today? We are looking for visionary thought leaders with a doctorate and the absolute will to invent the technological future of Bosch in the Junior Managers Program. On an intensive journey of up to 18 months, you will rotate through the crucial areas of our global research and development organization. Your mission: As a driving force, to identify and develop new technologies and business opportunities that ensure Bosch's long-term innovative strength and competitiveness.

You will lead highly innovative projects from idea to prototype, be supervised by leading researchers and top executives, and gain practical experience with technologies that will shape our world of tomorrow.

Responsibilities

What you will learn and develop with us

  • You will learn how strategic research in the areas of AI, quantum computing or semiconductor technology works in a global technology group, from trend analysis to patent development and transfer to the business areas.
  • As a thought leader, you will shape the foundations for future core technologies at Bosch, be it the next generation of AI systems or the development of innovative cloud architectures.
  • You will work with top international researchers in our global research centers to solve the technological challenges of the future, as well as your personal mentor from top management, who will specifically prepare you for your role as a future manager at Bosch.

Requirements

  • Your academic foundation: An excellent doctorate in one of the following areas: Information/Cyber Security, System Design/Cloud Architecture, Data Management, Software/Quantum Computing, AI/Data Science, Machine Learning/Deep Learning, distributed systems, power electronics or semiconductor.
  • Your enthusiasm for the world of research: You are naturally curious, think beyond the obvious and are passionate about solving complex technological challenges. You have already gained initial industry experience, e.g. through relevant internships.
  • Your eye for the big picture: You find it fascinating how scientific knowledge creates a disruptive innovation for a global company, and you are motivated to combine your research results with Bosch's strategic goals.
  • Your understanding of human-centric leadership: You believe that groundbreaking research is created in a team. With emotional intelligence and empathy, you create a creative environment in which you inspire others with your ideas and achieve outstanding results together.

You think strategically and shape the future: You recognize technology trends at an early stage, as a leader you derive a clear vision for new research fields and develop the roadmap that will get us there. You have in-depth knowledge of relevant programming languages and tools such as Java, C++, Python, Matlab, ML-Ops or cloud systems.

  • Your continuous development: You see research as a constant learning process and have a growth mindset in order to continuously develop yourself and your topics in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Your linguistic fluency: You communicate fluently in English and have good knowledge of German in order to move confidently in our international and local research environment.
